Nasi Rawon East Java


Rawon or rice rawon (as always served with rice) is the form of soup with meat flavor because it contains typical kluwek. Rawon, although known as the typical cuisine of East Java, also known by the community east of Central Java (Surakarta area). 
Rawon meat for beef in general is a small cut. Bumbu Indonesia supnya very typical, that is a mixture of onion, garlic, ginger (laos), coriander, Serai, turmeric, chilli, kluwek, salt, and vegetable oils. All of this (except Serai and ginger) mashed, and pan until fragrant. Spice mixture is then placed in broth stew meat together with meat. Rawon characteristic dark color comes from kluwek. 
Rawon presented together with rice, with a small bean sprouts, spring onion, crackers, and sambal.
